The ADSA's mission is to save lives from deadly dust diseases caused by exposure to Asbestos, silica, engineered stone and other dust exposures. We run respiratory health check program with aim of of detecting early signs of exposure to ensure maximum access to treatments, run programs to raise awareness of dangers in the community and work places. Working closely with key industry and government stakeholders to ensure access to fair and just compensation, safe work practices and public health services and treatments. Working closely with medical researchers to ensure a focus is maintained on looking for the latest treatments and ultimately a cure for these deadly diseases. Actively fundraise to maintain support for services and research. By virtue of so much naturally occurring deadly minerals and contamination by asbestos in the work place and built environment WA has the highest incidence of Asbestos diseases in the world. Further to this mining in WA is generating work place concerns for silica exposure and other dust contaminants. The ADSA continues to have demand for its services.
