AMRRIC works in partnership with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and a wide range of external stakeholders to improve companion animal health and management, contributing to its vision of Healthy Animals, Healthy Proud Communities. This is achieved through a diverse range of programs spanning community and animal health and welfare, education and training, academic research, strategic planning, and advocacy. AMRRIC s 2023/2024 programs: delivered services to 174 communities across the NT, WA, SA, QLD and Nauru. surgically desexed 837 companion animals and treated 4,831 animals for parasites delivered education to 19 schools with 535 students engaged, and created 9 new education resources trained 42 people in biosecurity surveillance of companion animals and conducted 27 companion animal census for biosecurity and strategic animal management, treating an additional 5,188 animals for parasites provided 30 presentations at conferences and stakeholder engagements
