We collect, preserve, display and fly, wood and fabric aircraft designed prior to 1946, in order to protect and share New Zealand's early aviation heritage. Our emphasis is on operational aircraft. In an international context our strength is de Havilland aircraft designed prior to 1946. In a national context, we emphasise the aviation heritage of Southland, Otago and the West Coast. Our main focus is on civillian aviation but we accept military cross overs. We collect and share highly significant items and stories associated with the above purposes.
