The Society is established and maintained exclusively for charitable purposes (including any purposes ancillary to those charitable purposes), namely: a) To establish and maintain an orchestra based on the mandolin family of instruments as well as other instruments, sufficient to operate a viable orchestra capable of playing and performing a broad variety of musical works. b) To promote the activities of the Orchestra to the wider community and foster the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of mandolin music and ensemble playing. c) To provide tuition, instruction and education in mandolin and other related instruments used in the Orchestra.
