The Taoist arts are gifts for the purpose of improving health and helping others. Instruction and training by the Society is provided by volunteers as a charitable endeavor. This fundamental precept was set down by Master Moy Lin Shin, who dedicated his life to helping others without seeking personal gain, and whose vision was to make the Taoist arts available to promote health, cultural exchange and to help others."
