The Waimarie Operating Trust ceased physical operations in June 2025. The Trusts property was transferred to the Whanganui Riverboat Restoration & Navigation Trust by way of distribution and the Trust is in the process of being dissolved. The operations of the Paddle Steamer Waimarie have been taken over by the newly formed Waimarie Whanganui Enterprises Ltd.
