Right now this page shows what the charity register holds about Te Houtaewa Māori Charitable Trust. Claiming it lets you tell your own story — what you do, who you help, how to reach you and how to give — so someone who finds you here sees your organisation as you'd want it seen.
Next, we'll email a 6-digit code to your charity's registered address to confirm you represent Te Houtaewa Māori Charitable Trust. Type it in here, and filling in your profile takes about two minutes.

Whānau transformation through Rongoā. Since 1991, Te Houtaewa Māori Charitable Trust has provided relief, support and care to people in need, so whānau are happy, healthy and heard. Rongoā, the restoration of balance where balance has been lost, is the foundation of all we do. We work through three connected pou, open to all peoples:
1. Hauora: To relieve sickness and distress and promote the wellbeing of whānau through Rongoā Māori and holistic care, alongside health services, in clinics, hospitals, marae and the community.
2. Mātauranga: To advance education through wānanga and training grounded in mātauranga Māori and tikanga, growing practitioners and a skilled workforce, and preserving Māori knowledge for future generations.
3. Tāpoi: To protect and promote Māori cultural heritage, and relieve disadvantage through employment and enterprise pathways, kaitiakitanga and reciprocal Indigenous knowledge exchange.
