ENTITY’S PURPOSE & MISSION: The Centre for Fine Woodworking was founded in 2006 to facilitate the highest quality of educational opportunities for woodworkers from New Zealand as well as around the world. Our aims and objectives are:- • To offer our students a learning environment and commitment to achieving the highest standards of fine woodworking; • To establish a network of international connections to encourage interactions between woodworkers from around the world. • The vision then and now was to create a "School of Excellence" which rather than be linked to a formal qualification or education offers experiential and self-directed learning to anyone who has a passion to take their woodworking and fine furniture making skills to the highest level. • Our ten year goal is to be and be known to be the best centre in Australasia for learning fine woodworking and associated craft.
