The project is a collaboration between the founding partners; NEXT Foundation, Department of Conservation, and the Taranaki lwi Chairs' Forum. All eight iwi in Taranaki have come onboard via the Taranaki lwi Chair's Forum, recognising the strong iwi connection and whakapapa to Taranaki Mounga.
