Muintir na Mointeach is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Washingbay area and its neighbourhood together defined as the Muintir area without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political , religious or other opinions by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants: To establish or secure the establishment of a Community Centre and to maintain and manage the same, whether alone or in cooperation with any local authority or other person or body in furtherance of these objects: To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of Washingbay and surrounding area in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in local society: To promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined The advancement of citizenship or community development,Other charitable purposes
